Positive Rapid Tests, require a Medical Review Officer’s (MRO, a licensed MD or DO) investigation and report to determine if there are current prescriptions for positive hits on prescriptive drugs or to verify illicit drug use to provide legal support for your decision making process. In most cases, if termination is the solution to a positive result, the MRO report is a key legal protection in the event an employee who is terminated files a wrongful termination action against you or the company. The employee’s sample is sent to one of our certified labs, tested using Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) to verify the presence of all substances, relating to both illicit and prescription drugs. The MRO then issues a detailed report of the substances and vouch’s for the result found in the Rapid Test. The cost of this verification is a nominal, but invaluable.
